POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

Coordinates, plans and schedules program/project test activities. Liaison with test ranges and facilities, preparation of test requirements and plans, scheduling of tests, conducting and witnessing tests and the preparation of test reports.  

 

MAJOR JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developments test matrices for development and qualification testing of new and existing products.
• Defines plans and schedules for test campaigns.
• Works with program management, engineers, customers and outside test facilities to coordinate testing. Leads all aspects of the resource planning required to complete the test.
• Develops test procedures that provide detailed definition of the test configuration, instrumentation requirements and success criteria.
• Directs internal and external testing on a hands-on basis.
• Responsible for safety management during any testing.
• Responsible for configuration management of all test assets.
• Sets-up and leads all test readiness reviews for all tests.
• Preparation of quick-look and full test reports including data presentation.
• Performs control account manager reporting under an EVMS.
• Responsible for generating reports and documenting test activity.
• Follows general company policy and procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Working knowledge of test matrices, practices and procedures, preferably within the aerospace industry.
• Working knowledge in utilizing various Microsoft products, including MS Project.
• Excellent skills in communicating both verbally and in writing. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Scientific field from four year college.  A graduate degree is desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years aerospace or military systems experience in a test and evaluation environment.
