The Press Shop
Airborne Systems’ press shop facility is equipped with a range of automated vertical presses, as well as smaller fly presses. It includes:
- 60 Ton press (strip or coil fed)
- 160 Ton press (strip or coil fed)
- 360 Ton coining press
- Various fly/hare presses
- Guillotine
The Tooling Workshop
All tooling utilised at Airborne Systems is manufactured and maintained to the highest standards by our in-house tooling workshop facility. This ensures minimum tooling down-time, and benefits the customer with maximised production utilisation.
Assembly and Fabrication
The large fabrication and assembly area includes:
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Welding of a wide range of metals
- Riveting
- Drilling
- General assembly of large items
The light assembly area caters for precision assembly of small and medium size components. It includes:
- Clean room environment
- Intricate assembly of small precision components
- Hand forming
- Drilling and rivet spinning
Finishing Services
Airborne Systems’ finishing services include:
- Fettling
- Polishing and linishing
- Roto-surface finishing
- Aqua bead blasting
- Paint spraying in a clean controlled-temperature environment
- Part marking - Engraving or high-resolution piezo inkjet marking system
Other finishing options such as heat treatment, anodising, plating and galvanising are available through our approved sub-contractor base.
