Kistler K-1 Airbags
ASNA designed, tested, and fabricated airbags for both the Launch Assist Platform (LAP) and Orbital Vehicle (OV) of the Kistler Reuseable Launch Vehicle. The LAP which weighed 52,000 lb, utilized six cylindrical airbags each measuring 8.5 ft in diameter and 10 ft long. The OV, which weighed 27,000 lb, used four spherical bags measuring 10 ft in diameter each.
