Airborne Systems brings to the market and its customers a history and legacy that embraces four of the world’s leading parachute companies, combining the resources of GQ Parachutes, Irvin Aerospace, Para-Flite, and Aircraft Materials (AML). Today, Airborne Systems is comprised of these brands. No other company has the combined resources of Airborne Systems and, for almost a century, compiled a proven track record of precedent setting milestones that demonstrate scope of capability, quality of product and successful performance.
Airborne Systems is a global company, supporting customers around the world. Airborne Systems North American Headquarters is located in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Three manufacturing facilities in North America are located in Pennsauken, New Jersey, Santa Ana, CA and Bellville, Ontario, Canada. Airborne Systems European Headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located in Llangeinor, South Wales, UK.

GQ PARACHUTES
GQ Parachutes was formed in 1932. For more than 80 years, GQ Parachutes was a world leader in the supply of parachutes and safety and survival equipment to the military and aerospace markets. GQ Parachutes also designed, manufactured and supplied a comprehensive range of parachutes and emergency, rescue and survival equipment to the military, coastguard and civilian aerospace markets. GQ Parachutes is a well respected name in the industry and its products have become an important brand of the Airborne Systems family of brands.
IRVIN AEROSPACE
The Irvin Air Chute Company was incorporated in 1919. In 1996, Irvin changed its name to Irvin Aerospace to better reflect the aerospace industry to which the focus of the company had returned. Irvin Aerospace designed, developed, and manufactured best-of-class parachutes for space and air vehicle recovery systems, deceleration systems for high-performance aircraft, military personnel parachute systems, cargo parachute systems and spin/stall parachute recovery systems. Irvin Aerospace is a well respected name in the industry and its products have become an important brand of the Airborne Systems family of brands.
PARA-FLITE
Para-Flite was founded in 1969 to develop, manufacture and market gliding parachutes based on several U.S. patents. From its inception, Para-Flite’s innovation, superior design technology and quality manufacturing methods contributed to its success. Para-Flite’s expertise and leadership in military ram-air gliding canopy design and canopy manufacturing have been well recognized. Para-Flite is a well respected name in the industry and its products have become an important brand of the Airborne Systems family of brands.
AIRCRAFT MATERIALS (AML)
Established over 50 years ago, Aircraft Materials (AML) was a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of a wide range of aerial delivery and air transportation systems and equipment for the carriage, security and safe deployment of personnel and equipment from military and civil aircraft both fixed and rotary winged. In addition, AML designed and manufactured an extensive range of components and metal fittings for use in parachute, restraint and safety harnesses. Aircraft Materials (AML) is a well respected name in the industry and its products have become an important brand of the Airborne Systems family of brands.
